Welcome to the Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Health Management Center!

The Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica (BIV) Health Management Center (HMC), located within the Iowa State University Research Park in Ames, IA, is part of the BIV Swine Division.

The HMC is made up of two teams:

The diagnostic testing laboratory (DXL) team – The DXL team provides high quality testing services of swine serum for the purposes of determining disease prevalence, detection, and/or screening.

The Process Improvement Group (PIG) – The PIG assists with the management of customer cases, testing data, as well as production and event data. The PIG also provides special analysis for multiple related cases that are part of customized health management projects.

The BIV-HMC exists to provide services that support swine health and production solutions to our customers throughout the pork chain. Delivery of our services is provided in conjunction with BIV Customer Representatives and Professional Services Veterinarians in the field.
